It comes as no surprise that Medal Gear Solid: The Legacy Collection isn’t coming to Xbox 360. But why not? Main man Hideo Kojima explained that the amount of data in Metal Gear Solid 4 was “just too enormous.” He said this on his radio show, noting that “an Xbox 360 version of MGS4 hasn’t gone on sale” either.

Kojima adds that the game would take up seven DVDs, which is something they aren’t willing to do. However, all hope isn’t lost, as he mentioned that the collection might come out on the next Xbox.

The Legacy collection is a package of gaming goodness that includes all four titled MGS games alongside Peace Walker HD Edition and MGS: VR Missions. It’s due out next month exclusively on PS3.
