Tekken 6 “Character” Screenshots
Twelve new screenshots from Tekken 6 have been released, showing off the various characters from the fighting game. Hit the jump for full character bios.
The game is due out on PS3 and Xbox 360 during the fourth quarter of this year.
Tekken 6 Featuring Online Play
PlayStation Universe reports that the PS3 version of Tekken 6 will feature online multiplayer combat which Namco Bandai confirmed at the PlayStation Premier event in Japan.
The online play will be featured in various game modes similar to that of Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection, which is now available on the PlayStation Network. As per the report, the PS3 game is to be expected in less than a year after the arcade version is released, which is later this year.
Tekken 6 to Make Use of Motion Sensor
Although not currently implemented, Tekken producer Katsuhiro Harada has gone on record to say that Tekken 6 may feature motion sensor functionality that was unveiled at Sony’s pre-E3 conference. He went on to give an example of how it might be used – for instance, players would have to shake their way free when they are in a stranglehold.
Speaking to Japanese publication IT Media, Harada also went on to say that the fighters shown in the trailer during this E3 were still at an experimental state, and that further changes will take place until the end of the game’s development.
Unfortunately, he wouldn’t comment on the game’s release date, or whether it would feature online multiplayer or not.
