Spongebob, Screwjumper Heading to XBLA

THQ has announced that it will release exclusively developed titles on Xbox Live Arcade starting with Spongebob Squarepants: Underpants Slam, an action game based on the popular Nickelodeon cartoon. It is expected to be released sometime next month. The game will be followed by Screwjumper, an original title, and Elements of Destruction and Rocket Riot.

Wii Gets 4 Launch Titles from THQ

To add to Wii’s already robust launch lineup, THQ announced that it will release four games for the console when it’s released next month. The games are all based on television and movie licenses: Cars, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Barnyard and SpongeBob SquarePants: Creature from the Krusty Krab.

Nintendo also announced that Wii titles are in development at Atari, BVG, Eidos, Konami, Majesco, Midway, Namco, SNK and many other publishers.

THQ's 2006 Nickelodeon Lineup

THQ has announced its 2006 videogame lineup for its Nickelodeon brand of games for kids. The lineup consists of the following titles:

  • Avatar
  • Nicktoons (working title)
  • Barnyard
  • Unfabulous
  • Danny Phantom Urban Jungle
