To make the upcoming purchase of Vanguard: Saga of Heroes sweet, SOE and Sigil Games Online have announced a pre-order program as well as a Collector’s & Guild Edition details. Scheduled for release during Q1 2007, those who pre-order the game will get early access to the game, a special account key that will let players sprint for longer periods, invitation to the open beta, along with an assortment of bonus content.
Those who order the Regular Edition ($50) will receive a one month subscription to the game, along with a choice of in-game content. Those who purchase the Collector’s & Guild Edition ($90), packaged in a custom leatherette chipboard box, will receive an assortment of goodies listed inside.
Vanguard: Saga of Heroes, the MMORPG which recently defected to SOE, will be built using Emotion FX’s real-time character animation technology. The toolset has allowed the developer, Sigil Games, to give a character over 500 unique motions and very detailed customization down to a per bone level.
The game is slated to be released sometime later this year.
Sigil Games Online and Sony Online Entertainment sent word that Vanguard: Saga of Heroes will be shifted from Microsoft Game Studios to SOE, who will co-publish it with Sigil. All three companies will be showcasing the game at E3; Vanguard is scheduled for release this Winter.
