Resistance 2 Unveiled

gicoverfeb08.jpgThe February 2008 issue of Game Informer is host to the world exclusive unveiling of Resistance 2, the sequel to the best-selling PS3 launch title. Scheduled for release this Fall, the game will continue the story from the original, continuing the exploits of protagonist Nathan Hale as well as following the adventures of a separate squad.

According to the magazine, the game will now support online campaign co-op with up to 8 players, one of the original’s most requested features. Surprisingly, Insomniac Games are hoping to deliver up to 60 player support in online matches, allowing players to split into individual squads. There will be various classes in the game, including a tank-like soldier and the ubiquitous medic.

Further information and online media unveiling is expected soon.
