7 from Ubi at Wii Launch

Adding more weight to the Wii, Ubisoft has announced that it is preparing seven titles for the launch of Nintendo’s next console. In addition to previously announced titles Rayman Raving Rabids and Red Steel, the publisher will also be delivering Open Season, Monster 4×4 World Circuit, a game based on the Far Cry franchise, Blazing Angels: Squadrons of WWII and GT Pro Series (exclusive to Wii). Some details:

Blazing Angels®: Squadrons of WW II: As a squadron leader and ace fighter pilot, leverage the Wii controller to experience intense dog fighting in the famous air battles of WW II. Air combat simulation, rating pending.

Red Steel is an exclusive Revolution launch title that takes full advantage of the console’s innovative controller and puts players directly into the action-packed first-person experience with the weapon in their hand – literally.

An engaging storyline unfolds as you learn that your fiancée has been kidnapped and her father – a Japanese mafia kingpin – murdered by a rival gang. The only way to save your loved one and defend your honor is to journey from Los Angeles to Japan and confront the Tokyo underworld.

    Red Steel Announced

    Ubisoft has officially announced Red Steel, probably the first publicly known Revolution title. Exclusive to the Revolution, Red Steel is set is modern-day Japan, with the player mastering both the “ancient art of katana” and the “sophisticated technology of modern firearms” using the console’s remarkable controller.

    Red Steel will make its debut at E3 next month. Expect more information and screenshots then.

    First Revolution Title – Red Steel Revealed

    According to this post, the April issue of Game Informer magazine features the first look at a Nintendo Revolution title – Red Steel. The post does not go into any detail, teasing us readers in to buying it, but fortunately the Endangered Gamer blog has posted camera shots of the pages showcasing the game.

    From the blurry shots it can be understood that the game is not bad graphics wise, and the Revolution controller seems to be perfect for such a title.
