Kameo "Design Your Skin" Winners Announced
Microsoft and Rare have announced the 11 winning entries from the Kameo “Design Your Skin” contest that had gamers skin their favorite characters. All winning entries are now available on Xbox Live as fully playable downloadable content in the new “Design-A-Skin” pack. Some of the winning designs include the newly-created Ash with his Griffin-inspired design; Thermite, who now “literally carries the world on his back”; and Major Ruin in his new egg shell armor.
Xbox 360 Gets Classics
Now that the console has been out for some time, Microsoft announced that it will soon be launching a Classics range for the Xbox 360, effectively shaving off half the price.
In North America, gamers can look forward to Perfect Dark Zero, Project Gotham Racing 3, Kameo: Elements of Power and Need for Speed: Most Wanted. These games will be rebranded to the new line on October 15, and will retail for $30.
Europeans can get Perfect Dark Zero, Kameo: Elements of Power, Condemned: Criminal Origins and King Kong for a wallet-friendly price of £25 starting October 13.
A second wave of Classics titles are expected to arrive early next year. However, as seen above, titles will vary by region, with different sets of Classics in each region.
Kameo Co-op
A free Kameo update is now available, unlocking co-operative gameplay over Xbox Live and System Link. Players can now enjoy the two-player co-op found in the action levels of the game which have to be completed in single-player mode.
Rare has also released two packs of costumes for the game, with both going up for 200 points.
