Cole, Snake and Drake appearing in All-Stars Battle Royale; Kevin Butler to appear, too?
Infamous 2 voice actor Eric Ladin has confirmed via Twitter that Cole will appear as a playable character in PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale. He adds that Metal Gear Solid’s Snake and Uncharted’s Nathan Drake are also in the game.
This is backed up by the IMDB listing for the game, which also shows that fictional Sony marketing executive Kevin Butler may also appear in some capacity. It lists actor Jerry Lambert as reprising his role for the game.
Confirmed characters so far include Fat Princess, Sly Cooper, Sweet Tooth, Kratos, Colonel Radec, Parappa the Rapper and Captain Quark.
Downloadable Virtua Fighter game, character customization packs announced
SEGA (yes, it’s all caps!) today announced Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown, a stand-alone downloadable game for release on PSN and Xbox Live Arcade. It’s going to cost $15 (or 1200 Microsoft points) and is due out on June 5 on PSN and June 6 on XBLA.
The game’s going to be accompanied by character customization packs for its 19 fighters. They are going to cost $5 (400 points) each and will contain anywhere from 600 to 950 customization items. Attached below is an introduction video.
Street Fighter X Tekken out today on PC, is a console port
Starting today, PC gamers can get in on the fun that is Street Fighter X Tekken, which was released almost two months ago on consoles. It’s the same as its console brethren, besides support for different resolutions, keyboards, benchmark tool, and support for NVIDIA 3D Vision.
This post on Capcom Unity details the PC version, noting that it doesn’t make any use of special DirectX 10 or 11 upgrades. It also lists the minimum and recommended specs.
The game is available in retail throughout Europe and Asia, but not in North America. You will have to get it from your digital distributor of choice.
Cole fighting his way to All-Stars Battle Royale
While the complete roster to PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale kept under wraps, it’s a given that Cole MacGrath from InFamous will make an appearance. In fact, Vividgamer reports that Eric Ladin, the actor who plays the character, confirmed just that from his Twitter account. Although his tweets have since been deleted, they have incriminating evidence in the form of screenshots.
You’ll be able to unleash Cole’s devastating electrical attacks this holiday season. Expect more news in the coming months.
Skullgirls to have cross-platform gameplay with PS3, no GFWL support
Skullgirls is making its way to PC later this year, and it’s going to feature cross-platform gameplay with PS3. It also won’t make use of Games for Windows Live (yay!). This information comes straight from the horse’s mouth Skullgirls Twitter feed.

East London gets a Soul Calibur makeover
A video of Shoreditch, London being given a Soul Calibur V-themed makeover was released today. Namco hired Jim Rockwell to create a graffiti mural in East London to celebrate the game’s release. The following time-lapse video shows off the entire process.
The game is due out on PS3 and Xbox 360 tomorrow in the US and Friday in the UK.
