It’s nice to see Crytek has heard the fans. Crysis 2 was bashed for not offering PC gamers the advanced graphics they desired. Representing the studio, Rasmus Højengaard commented that they are “definitely pushing [Crysis 3] a lot from a visual standpoint, and for sure there’s going to be visual ggodies in it that you can only get if you have a super-high-end PC.”
He added that the franchise’s community isn’t keen on seeing it move to the consoles. Crytek has repeatedly assured us that “the experience is not [going to be] different from platform to platform.”
Crysis and its sequel were released in 2007 and 2011, respectively, with the latter released simultaneously on PS3 and Xbox 360. The original game was later ported to consoles via PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade. Crysis 3 is due out sometime next year.
