This Holiday season has seen the introduction of three new Xbox 360 bundles across UK, thanks to Microsoft and its battle for winning the console war. Already available, the new bundles include a copy of Gears of War, Call of Duty 3 or WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2007, a premium Xbox 360 console and a 30 day trial of Xbox Live Gold.
All bundles will retail for £300.
Available in UK now is the Pro Evolution Soccer 6 Xbox 360 bundle from Microsoft and Konami. This limited-edition bundle is retailing for £300, offering a Premium Xbox 360 console, a Live Headset, 30-day trial membership to Xbox Live, Component HD AV Cable with SCART adapter, Ethernet cable, and finally, a copy of Pro Evolution Soccer 6.
Looking to increase their footing in Europe, and also offering gamers incentives to buy their console, Microsoft announced that the Premium Xbox 360 bundle in the region will now also include a copy of Project Gotham Racing 3 and an extra wireless controller. The package retails for £300 and is now available.
This bundle wasn’t announced for any other territories.
LucasArts and Sony Online Entertainment have announced Star Wars Galaxies: The Complete Online Adventures, a bundle pack that will be available starting this November for $30. Compiled for Star Wars junkies, the bundle will include Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided, along with all three of the game’s expansions: Jump to Lightspeed, Rage of the Wookiees and Trials of Obi-Wan. It will also feature new content and gameplay enhancements.
In addition, the bundle will also include a bonus DVD filled with premium content featuring an exclusive in-game item – a personal AT-RT vehicle as seen in Star Wars Episode III; never-before-seen concept art and screenshots set to “beautifully orchestrated in-game music;” interviews with Star Wars Galaxies production staff; in-game movie featurettes produced by fans; excerpts from “From Pencil to Pixel” book that chronicles the art of the MMORPG; cinematic trailers and ads produced for the game; and a demo of Star Wars: Empire at War.
Seeing as how lackluster the sales of Xbox 360 has been in Japan, Microsoft, in collaboration with FIFA, EA and Adidas, has announced the release of a limited edition Xbox 360 bundle in the region to coincide with the launch of the FIFA 2006 game in Japan.
The limited edition bundle will feature the regular console package along with a Adidas Japan blue faceplate featuring the colors of the Japanese football team, an Adidas Japan blue bandana and a copy of the footie game.
April 27 is the day for Japanese football fans to look forward to the bundle, which, according to various reports, will see a limited run of 10,000 units; it will also be open-priced, giving retailers the chance to price the package accordingly.
