Attack on Pearl Harbor Goes Full Steam Ahead

Steam has gotten yet another title thanks to CDV. The publisher has made available Attack on Pearl Harbor through the service; it is being sold for $24.95 with an additional 10% discount until August 27.

Attack on Pearl Harbor is an aerial combat game that allows players to relive the dogfights of the Pacific Theater of WWII as both Japanese and American pilots. It features arcade-style play, extensive tutorials and up to 12-player LAN and Internet multiplayer action.

MACH Announced

Vivendi Games has announced the development of M.A.C.H. (Modified Air Combat Heroes), the first flight combat game for the PSP. In development at Kuju Entertainment, the game has players become outlaw pilots engaging in “deadly aerial contests of skill, speed and weaponry.” MACH will feature multiplayer action via Ad-hoc wireless or via Game Sharing in 11 planes and a variety of environments.

The game is slated to ship first in Japan later this month. It has been well received by Japanese publication Famitsu, who described it as “the ultimate racing battle.” MACH is scheduled to ship in UK this Spring. Further details can be found after the jump.

Eureka Seven Vol. 2 Announced

Namco Bandai Games has announced that Eureka Seven Vol. 2: The New Vision will be available for the PS2 in Spring 2007. The game, a prequel to the animated show, is the next installment in the aerial combat series. Scoop:

After abandoning the corrupt military and becoming a professional lifter, Sumner Sturgeon has become disenchanted with the life of an air sport athlete. Fate intervenes when his lost love returns and enlists his help to discover and stop the creation of the dangerous CFS (Compact Feedback System). Join Sumner on his quest to find the truth, compete in lift races, and pilot over 17 powerful LFOs (Light Finding Operations) in a variety of thrilling gameplay modes such as Story Mode, Survival Mode, Dream Match and Conflict Mode. With an enthralling storyline that arrives at the dawn of the anime series, this anticipated title promises to deliver an enduring action-propelled experience.

Over G Fighters Announced

Bringing to the Xbox 360 the worst looking game will be Ubisoft, who announced Over G Fighters, a “modern jet fighter” exclusive to the Microsoft console. Although not graphically potent, the game is supposed to deliver “intense and exciting aerial combat showcasing the power of modern aircrafts.” It is being developed by Taito and is scheduled to ship throughout North America and Europe this June.
