Bethesda possibly teasing new Wolfenstein
Bethesda has been posting teaser images for their next project, and everyone’s betting money that it is a new Wolfenstein game. All images are posted below.
The collage shows three images, one with the hastag 1960 below. People are speculating that it’s the long rumored Wolfenstein game, which is reportedly in development at Swedish studio Machine Games. The studio was formed by members of Starbreeze, the studio behind excellent games such as The Darkness and Chronicles of Riddick.
This has been confirmed indirectly by Bethesda themselves, who noted that “this morning’s tease is not related to anything @BGS_Devs is working on.”
The game is rumored to make use of idTech5 game engine. There hasn’t been a new Wolfenstein game since 2009. The last entry was average at best, and was made by Raven Software, id Software, and some other studios.
Hotline Miami sequel being teased with mysterious code
Hotline Miami is undoubtedly one of the best games I’ve ever played. It’s short, fun, and chaotic in just the right amounts, making it a truly unforgettable experience. Devolver Digital, the developer, now seems to be getting in the groove for a sequel it seems. They’ve just posted a mysterious code in the game’s official Twitter account.
The code reads: LSSRUTB UYO SEEL LNLS ERED LEH. There’s a busy Reddit thread that’s trying to solve the code. Some people think it’s an anagram while others believe it’s a cipher. It hasn’t been decoded as of yet, and Facebook and Twitter users are trying to figure it out as well.
Personally, I think someone bashed someone’s face all over the keyboard. You know, because that’s something I’d love to do in Hotline Miami.
The original is available to play on PC and Mac; it’s also due for release on PS3 and PS Vita this spring.

Shadow of the Eternals crowdfunding campaign live, lots of details
Following on from their teaser trailer, Precursor Games has officially announced the launch of the crowdfunding campaign for Shadow of the Eternals. This is being billed as a spiritual successor to Eternal Darkness, which has a cult following now.
The studio looks to raise $1.5 million for the episodic action game. They aim to release the first episode on PC and Wii U in Q3 next year; they have a couple of videos that you can watch to help you part with your money. The game is being powered by CryEngine.
Wait, what? CryEngine and Wii U? I thought Crytek said they weren’t going to support the console.
Resident Evil monsters are scary because they’re related to real life viruses
I’ve always found Resident Evil’s monster designs to be fascinatingly repulsive and frightening. Apparently, that’s because they can be related to viruses we see in action in the real world. This comes from director Kazuhisu Inoue, who says so in this developer diary for Resident Evil Revelations.
Previously a 3DS-exclusive title, the game is now set for release on May 21 for PC, PS3, Wii U, and Xbox 360.

Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon (PC) Review
Blood Dragon is a gaudy, neon-colored extravaganza that never lets go of you. It’s not a videogame but a discovered time capsule filled with authentic homages to ‘80s and ‘90s pop culture. It takes its references straight from bad action movies of the era, Saturday morning cartoons, and a vision of a post-Cold War era future that’s now laughable. As a game, Blood Dragon is a wonderfully stupid experience that is outrageously awesome and offers an invigorating look at what videogames have become.
Void Walker Arsenal pack for Dishonored coming
If you hadn’t preordered Dishonored but wanted access to the bundles that came as perks, then you’re in luck. Bethesda just announced the “Void Walker’s Arsenal Pack” that will include the Acrobatic Killer, Arcane Assassin, Backstreet Butcher, and Shadow Rat packs. These were previously only available to those who had preordered the game.
The packs include perks that include character bonuses, additional slots, books, and other things that make playing the game easy. It will be available starting next week on PC, PSN, and Xbox 360 for $3.99. You can find out more details at Bethesda’s blog.
Eternal Darkness spiritual successor teased, going crowdfunding route
Way back in 2002, a Gamecube game scared the pants off of quite a few people: Eternal Darkness. Although a sequel was pitched by the developers afterwards, publishers were unwilling to pick it up. But now, thanks to crowdfunding, a spiritual successor has been announced.
A teaser trailer for Shadow of the Eternals has been posted, showing off an interesting-looking game billed as coming “from the creators of Eternal Darkness”. It’s being worked on by Precursor Games, whose official website carries nothing apart from a teaser campaign for the title.
More details are expected on Monday. According to the teaser, that’s when the crowdfunding campaign will be launched. It’s not known if it will be carried out on Kickstarter or anywhere else. It’s going to be an episodic title on PC and Wii U.

South Park game still expected later this year
Despite THQ going bankrupt earlier this year, South Park: The Stick of Truth is still on track for release this year. Ubisoft picked up the game at auction alongside THQ Montreal.
The action RPG is being developed at Obsidian in close collaboration with Trey Parker and Matt Stone, the creators of the series. It is due out on PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.
The game was actually set for release later this month but was delayed once acquired by THQ. According to UK retailer Tesco, the game is scheduled for release on August 23.
