The sequel will see players assuming control of the “first ever” Big Daddy; players will be armed with a drill and will be able to upgrade their weapons and various plasmids. You will be able to liberate Little Sisters from other Big Daddies, with the option of either harvesting or adopting them.
While the above is confirmed to be real, some more information has also surfaced, which is yet to be verified. The game is said to be set 10 years after the first game and the Big Sister is a grown-up Little Sister, who is hunting you. There will be some levels that take place on the sea floor outside of Rapture and the game will feature a multiplayer mode.
Gameplay wise, upgrade trees will be more diverse and there will be new plasmids, including incinerate that allows you to throw a fireball or shoot a stream of fire. The Big Sister will periodically pop up and will be “the hardest thing in the game”.
The sequel is set to arrive sometime later this year on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.
