New MGS Content Announced

From the PlayStation Premier event comes word that Kojima Productions is working on Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops Plus (PSP) and Metal Gear Solid Online (PS3).

A trailer and few screenshots from Portable Ops Plus were revealed to Japanese media at the show. The footage suggests that the re-released game will feature extra stages, characters and gameplay modes, as well as new playable characters including Raiden, Liquid Snake and the aging Snake from MGS4. The single-player campaign is also said to be extended as well.

No information was released for Metal Gear Solid Online for the PS3, though it was mentioned that the experience will be similar to the online gameplay found in MGS 3: Subsistence.
